Prayer Retreat in Florida and Harvest Conference in South Carolina
Gathering in the Harvest for Jesus Conference
The Gathering in the Harvest for Jesus Conference was held October 7-10, 2010 at the Springmaid Beach Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC. We enjoyed four days and three nights of incredibly blessed weather. We had a Holy Spirit-filled and led worship services, wonderful messages and powerful fellowship. Our average attendance was slightly over 200. Our attendance high was on Saturday with 235.
We were honored to have our Superintenent of U.S. Ministers, Dan Rogers, as our special guest speaker on Saturday morning. We had a great marriage seminar and financial seminar taught on Friday by Pastor Charles and Debbie Young and Pastor Paul D. Kurts. Our conference congregation, in special presentation, donated monies to the homeless shelter of a local school district, the Street Reach Homeless Shelter for Adults, and GCI Next. Praise be to God: We had seven individuals accept Jesus and another 25-30 rededicated their lives to Christ during the conference.

Faith Fellowship North Broward Prayer Retreat October 22-24, 2010
The annual prayer retreat was once again held at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park Youth Camp on Fort Lauderdale Beach. As in the past, the weekend provided a restful blessing for those in attendance. The theme this year was “God is Good All the Time” with Jeremiah 29:11-12 as the keynote scripture. Worship Director Charlie Nickert kicked off the Friday evening session speaking on “Letting Jesus Set You Free.” Caribbean Mission Developer Charles Fleming provided the keynote message on Saturday, speaking on how God’s faithfulness initiates faithfulness on our part, and Pastor Larry Hinkle gave the Sunday message “Transformed by Love,” explaining how the love of God transforms us into the image of Christ.
Highlights included a seminar on meditative prayer, a sunrise prayer service on the beach, and children’s activities including a “Christ the Light” pumpkin carving, a Bible study on Ephesians 5:8, “Walk as children of light,” and a Saturday night campfire complete with spooky stories and “Smores.” One attendee commented that they were already looking forward to next year’s retreat! The Lord’s presence was evident throughout the weekend and we look forward to the fruits of spiritual growth that will spring from it.
Mark your calendars for next October to join us in our annual gathering to experience the joy yourself. For dates and further information please visit our web site at http://www.faithfellowshipcongregations.com/
