Howard W. Carmody, 89, died peacefully on October 3, 2010, following a brief illness. He had lived at King Veterans Home in King, WI, since June 2010.
He was born December 12, 1920, in Sugar Bush, WI, to William and Audrey Carmody. He was the oldest of five children. He served his country in the Pacific during WW2 with the 534th Engineering Brigade and Shore Regiment, receiving the silver star. In 1947 he married Gertrude (Moyer) and lived in Hortonville, Wisconsin. Howard was a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion.
He was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship congregation in Appleton, WI, attending since 1980. He loved attending services and fellowshipping with everyone. Fellowshipping was always his special gift. Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude, brother Leo, and sister Rhoda (Lemanski). He is survived by six children: Peter, James, Thomas, Susan (Patterson), David and Ellyn, 15 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Alberta Peterson and Frances Roloff.
Funeral services and military honors were conducted at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Hortonville.
Ivan Fehr, 87 died on November 13, 2010. He was a long-time member of the Champlin, MN, Living Hope congregation, He is survived by his wife of 59
years, Joyce; children, Larry (Susan), Dale (Dona); grandchildren, Brian, David
(Kristy) and Daniel; and one sister, Verna Klemish. Ivan loved music,
tinkering with things, and also piloted a small airplane in his younger years.
James
H. Wolaridge, Jr., 68, died on Nov. 21, 2010, surrounded by his family. He was born in McAlester, Oklahoma to James, Sr. and
Almalene Pipes Wolaridge on January 2, 1942. James was a great husband,
father, and grandfather. Known and beloved as "JW," he loved to spend
time with his family, serving in his church, and listening to jazz
music.
James was a faithful member of the Worldwide Church of God and Christian Life Center. The family atttend the Oakland, CA, congregations in the '60s and in Modesto, CA, thereafter. He made many friends in the fellowship as security detail at festivals in Tucson. He worked in many occupations and trades over the years but is fondly remembered for wearing his baseball hats and caps and his passion to help others. If one word captures JW, it is his willinginess to serve. At any event one would find James being on usher duty, security teams, parking or clean-up detail. Assisting others in any and all capacities is his claim to fame. James had a passion for serving kids in the community. During the late '70s and early '80s you would find JW coaching city league and church basketball teams. To those boys, he was a father figure for some and role model to all.
James is survived by his mother, Almalene Wolaridge; Jeanette Wolaridge, his wife for over 44 years; his son Keith Wolaridge (Bakersfield, CA), his wife Joanne and their four daughers: Christianna, Caylyn, Cheyenne, and Courtney. His daughter Karna Fedor (Mass) and her husband Chris their children: David, Noelle, and Michael. Son Kelvey Wolaridge (Fresno, CA) his wife Karen and their children: Kevin, Kaydin, step-daughters Alissa and Hayley Diaz. James is preceded in death by his father James H. Wolaridge, Sr. He is also survived by a host of aunts, cousins, uncles, and friends.
