Alan J. Torrance earned his doctorate in theology at the University of Erlangen-Nurnberg in Germany. He is now professor of systematic theology at the University of
St. Andrews in Scotland, following in the footsteps of his father, James B. Torrrance. His work includes Persons in

Human Participation and The Theological Grounds for Advocating Forgiveness and
