WHY SHOULD I ENCOURAGE MY ENTIRE CONGREGATION TO PARTICIPATE?
The Denominational Celebration is the perfect time for your local congregation to be encouraged, inspired, challenged, and to reflect and discern the vision to which God has called your unique congregation. If you are able to spend time together over meals, in worship, and in prayer together, it is the perfect time to take your next step toward Healthy Church. There is also intentional time set aside for your church to reflect and process.
IF MY CHURCH IS USING THE DENOMINATIONAL CELEBRATION AS A WATCH PARTY FOR THE WHOLE CONGREGATION, DO I STILL NEED TO REGISTER MYSELF?
No, please have only the watch party host register as a watch party and send the names of emails of all who are attending your watch party to home.office@gci.org
CAN I SHARE MY REGISTRATION CODE WITH A FRIEND?
Please do not share your registration code. There are capacity limitations to each session of the event. The event code is for registered participants only. Sharing your code could prevent another registered participant from gaining access.
IS THERE A DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION?
No. You may register any time up until the start of the Denominational Celebration, or any time during it.
TECHNICAL QUESTIONS
HOW DO I KNOW HOW TO WATCH/LOG IN?
One week prior to the Denominational Celebration, you will be sent a link to log in.
HOW DO I LOGIN TO THE WORKSHOP AND ZOOM SESSIONS?
We have sent your login information including instructions, links, and passwords to the email you registered with. If you don’t see this email in your inbox, please check your additional folders to make sure it wasn’t accidentally filtered out of your inbox. Depending your email platform, this could include folders labeled: Spam, Junk, Social, Promotions, and Updates. When logged into your email account, you should see these folders in separate tabs on the left side of the screen or toward the top of the screen.
WILL THERE BE BREAKOUTS THIS YEAR?
The workshops will have breakouts as part of their first-day content. We will also provide reflection questions for your watch parties to have their own breakouts and debrief.
WILL THE SESSIONS BE RECORDED?
Yes, each session will be recorded and available to registered participants as soon as possible.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO PAUSE, REWIND OR FAST-FORWARD THE LIVE STREAM DURING THE CONFERENCE?
The live stream is happening in real-time. You may pause during the live stream, however, we highly recommend you note the time/session where you paused.
CAN I PAUSE, REWIND, OR FAST-FORWARD THE RECORDING, ONCE IT IS AVAILABLE?
These options will be functional, however, we highly recommend you note the time/session where you paused.
WHAT INTERNET SPEEDS WILL WORK BEST FOR LIVE STREAMING?
We recommend a minimum of 3 megabits downloads per second for standard-definition playback. For HD-quality playback, we recommend 6 megabits downloads per second.
WHAT DEVICES CAN I USE?
You may view it on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. You will also be able to cast to your TV screen using Chromecast or Apple.
DO I NEED TO DOWNLOAD ANYTHING BEFORE THE EVENT?
Before the celebration, please download the Zoom client for meetings from zoom.us/download. The Zoom client will offer the best viewing experience on your device. Computers can also watch from a web browser though it is less reliable. And as a last resort, you could connect by phone to listen to the sessions. For more detailed instructions see our videos:
